Exobiology Report: Andurian

The Andurian race is extremely ancient, almost one billion years old. Although they are a very crafty race, their intelligence is not well suited to the pursuit of scientific advancement. They are a race of mesomorphic creatures. In their natural state, they are a pool of jet-black viscous liquid. They have they ability to restructure their atoms to form virtually any known compound. They are incredibly dense, resulting in their very high weights. It is unknown how long they are capable of living because they can enter a state of dormancy at will. They can last in this state almost indefinitely. They can create as much energy in their bodies as they want, due to small fusion reactions. They can project this energy as bio-neural energy, allowing them to be very deadly telepaths. Fortunately, they rarely hate any creature enough to use their psychic abilities to cause direct harm. The only moon orbiting their homeworld was an outpost of a long-extinct alien empire. They acquired advanced knowledge of space flight from it long ago, allowing them to travel to other worlds.

 Primary Religions:

The Andurians do not have an organized religion per se. They believe in a set of principles which are labeled as Duran Mysticism. Duran was an ancient philosopher, long deceased, who made the effort to standardize Andurian metaphysical philosopies. According to these philosophies, the universe is a living entity. All lifeforms in the universe are essentialy the attempts of the universe to understand itself. Although the Andurians do not place themselves at the top of evolutionary perfection, they do believe that they are higher on the list than most other races.

 Homeworld:

The Andurian homeworld of Anduril is a very cold world. It is the seventh, and final, world in the Anduin system.
